The Shimano Metal Shot is a small-profile Tungsten bait for super-light jigging applications.
Constructed from a stainless-steel centre plate with Tungsten weights on both sides, the Metal Shot jig has a compact profile that appeals to predatory fish that are actively zoned in on small size baitfish. The jig will fall attractively through the water column with a fluttering action creating vibration and flash, the speed of the descent can be increased by lightly tensioning the line to reduce movement. The recommended action is to retrieve the bait with an erratic twitch and pause, however it can be retrieved linearly to appeal to a variety species.
