The detector should be permantly wired to the 12V supply - would not recommend using a cigarett lighter connection.

Answer The Question

There should be a multi language instruction and installation manual in the box. Wiring is as per the wiring picture. P1 and P2 are for + and -. As this unit has free polarity + and - can go either way. It is designed to be permanently wired as a gas leak could occur whether the caravan is in use or not.

Answer The Question

If your RV has not had an LPG alarm previously fitted, select a location close to your main gas appliances (e.g. stove, water heater, 3 way fridge) which may be potential sources of a gas leak. It needs to be close to the floor and preferably not in a position where it might be accidentally kicked. Don't mount too close to a door. This may dilute the concentration of gas and thereby delay or ignore a potential warning alarm signal.
